REDWOOD CITY -- Attorneys on both sides agreed to a series of stipulations today in Scott Peterson's murder trial, removing the need to call rebuttal witnesses, the judge announced.

Judge Alfred Delucchi ordered jurors to return Monday for closing arguments.

Some jurors smiled when Judge Alfred Delucchi announced there would no more testimony.

The attorneys agreed that:

* A Peterson neighbor would testify he had no concrete work done on the Peterson’s property. Prosecutors had suggested a cement sample the defense analyzed might have come from work done by the neighbor.

* A police computer expert found a three-pages of Yahoo! search results for a San Francisco Bay map on Peterson’s computer

* Police recovered an email on Peterson’s dining room table during a Feb. 18, 2003 search. The email was not shown to the jury, but it appears to be an email from a corporate attorney informing a police detective that a company analysis found no evidence Peterson had embezzled.

* A “no sale” receipt from Austin’s Christmas Store in Modesto would be moved into evidence. The defense previously introduced two no-sales receipts that were rung up on the register after it had been placed in storage, trying to show the machine didn’t keep accurate time. A neighbor used an Austin’s store receipt to help determine when she found Peterson’s dog in the street.

That neighbor, Karen Servas, was at the courthouse today, apparently in anticipation of testifying.
