Defense rests

Scott Peterson's attorneys rested his case this morning after 15 minutes of testimony.

Modesto Police Officer Michael Hicks, who started testifying Monday about a Dec. 26, 2002, burglary across the street the Peterson house, testified this morning about a few minor details before the defense rested.

Though sources said renowned criminalist Henry Lee and Peterson friend Aaron Fritz were on the defense witness list, the two were not called.

Jurors were told to report back to court Wednesday afternoon to hear rebuttal witnesses.
