Judge Alfred Delucchi has delayed Scott Peterson's murder trial until Monday. He apologized to jurors, but didn't go into specifics. He indicated it was something unavoidable in a case involving so many witnesses -- more than 150 have testified already.

Delucchi and lawyers for both sides met in chambers starting at 9 a.m. today for more than half an hour. After they emerged, he summoned jurors and ordered the delay.

Defense lawyer Mark Geragos was scheduled to begin presenting his case this morning.
