What the heck happened here?

The election is over and many folks are still shaking their heads, wondering what the heck happened.

Modesto politics is changing, yet many are clueless as to the direction it's going. Some know how we got here but others are still switching their remote, confused and wondering what is going on. They know something is happening, yet don't want to take the time to find out and make a difference by getting out to vote.

This is the same group that will complain the hardest and create the biggest obstacles to positive, creative change and solutions. This is the group that will continue to wonder why our utility rates go up, why potholes exist, why there are no decent paying jobs, why our high school dropout rate is so high and why gangs exist. They are the first to complain and the last to volunteer to make a difference.

This group consists of your family, your friends, and your neighbors. Wake up, folks! Remember, your remote control does make a difference!
