In response to "Health care debate looks at uninsured young adults" (Oct. 19, Page B-5): I agree that it is difficult for young adults to pay for insurance, especially if they have to pay for college tuition and textbooks. As a 21-year old student, I eventually will no longer be under parental coverage. I won't be able to pay for insurance because of the cost and I would rather spend my money on college fees. Fortunately, I am still under parental coverage because their policy allows me to as long as I'm attending school full time.
Reform to health insurance should be made to allow longer parental coverage. Young adults should be able to go to college without the cost of health insurance weighing them down.
