I have been a registered voter in Stanislaus County since I was 18 and have voted in all elections for 14 years. I supported Mark Puthuff for sheriff and I am now backing Robert Jackson.

I was disappointed with Adam Christianson and his comments in "Sheriff's office showing divisions" (Nov. 1, Page A-1). His attitude and unprofessionalism are what made me back his opponent previously.

I know quite a few deputies, other staff and officials with the Sheriff's Department. I have known Jackson since I was just a kid. Christianson's stated, "If Mr. Jackson was really concerned about the success of the organization and the direction it was headed, why didn't he stay and continue to work with us?" Hello, Turlock is part of this county.

All police organizations within this county work together regularly and quite effectively. Jackson saw an opportunity for an advancement in his career that was not available to him at that time within the Sheriff's Department.

Does Christianson feel he was not deserving of career advancement? I feel Jackson will be a huge asset to the Sheriff's Department. He is ready to return and he is shown he can lead. What have you done, Adam?
