Many will mourn Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson, who died this past week. Many also will see this as the chance to make big bucks. They are probably reprinting the Farrah posters as I write. She will be memorialized with T-shirts, lunch boxes and buttons, and certainly the first season of "Charlie's Angels" will be coming out in a special DVD edition filled with extras. There is the smell of money in the air.
A few hours later, the original MJ died, too. Does it get any better? In Hollywood the race is on. Who will be the first to make a motion picture or an eight-part miniseries on Michael's life? Heck, his family will no doubt produce the thing! After all, there is money, money, money to be made. This could be the opportunity we need in America to pull the country out of recession, stimulate consumer spending. You may say dead-dead, but I say win-win.
The window of opportunity only stays open for a short time. The vultures and the jackals have to move quickly.
