Alarming disregard for alarm ringing

It is 10:54 p.m. on June 27. I can hear the alarm on the building across the street for the umpteenth time tonight.

The building is the Stanislaus County engineering and operations division at 1716 Morgan Road. I hear this alarm several times every night. When I call the sheriff's office, I'm told they don't respond to alarms there.

When I go across the street during business hours, the receptionists tell me it's not their alarm, and they never pass the message along. When I call the alarm company, I get a disconnect recording.

I happen to know that it is their alarm because I have walked across the street several times while it is ringing and I can show you exactly where the bell is located.

Why are the taxpayers of Stanislaus County paying for an alarm service with an incorrect phone number, and why are we paying for receptionists who don't even try to listen to a neighbor of their workplace? I guess I'm just "typical South Modesto white trash" who doesn't know what I'm talking about.
