Many people in this conservative town, who blindly reject Barack Obama and embrace the candidacy of John McCain and Sarah Palin, would be well-served to remember the lesson of companies like Hershey that outsourced hundreds, if not thousands, of American jobs not because of high taxes on business but rather, to enhance profits to top executives and shareholders.
And have these same people not noticed that it was Palin herself, not someone she knew, who was found to have abused her power as governor of Alaska? And do they not remember that McCain was one of the "Keating Five" and took substantial contributions from Charles Keating, who was convicted for his part in the Lincoln Savings & Loan scandal?
If it is true that those who forget history are doomed to repeat it, they can only pray for deliverance if the Republican Party is again elected to the White House. This country just cannot afford the abusive, greedy, corrupt and unconstitutional practices of another Republican administration.
