Was the action taken by the Stanislaus County Supervisors to vote on the Salida Now initiative legal? Would taxpayers have to pay for any legal action? No. We have the court of public opinion and it is waiting to operate. The people who gathered the signatures for the Salida Now initiative should not get their money back. They should get what they paid for — an initiative on the November ballot. Don't forget to add a few recall votes in case the supervisors refuse to undo their gross error.
