As a longtime resident of Modesto, I value all educational opportunities for our populace. Modesto Junior and Columbia colleges provide excellent resources for those wanting to continue their education locally. We need to assure these institutions remain fiscally sound, expand to accommodate growth and meet requisite educational standards.
Mike Riley has the desire, training and experience to provide the leadership needed to meet these goals. As a retired chief financial officer of Diamond Walnut, former board member of a large bank serving farmers and agribusiness, and adjunct professor at Humphreys College in business and accounting, Mike will bring relevant experience and expertise to the board.
Mike attended a community college. He knows their value. I've served with Mike on other boards and committees. I've found Mike to be positive, forward thinking, fiscally sound and service-oriented.
