Encouragement from a green-bag user

Thank you to Mark Hollingsworth for his column ("Reusable 'green' shopping bags a laugh and a trend?" Aug. 10, Page B-7). I have been using reusable bags since January, and I wanted to pass on more encouragement to those considering purchasing a few. First, I bought mine from one store and normally use them at another; there is no laughter or raised eyebrows, just appreciation that I am using them. Second, most grocery stores will give you a 5- or 6-cent rebate per bag that you use. I have five bags, and I get 30 cents back every week. Finally, how wonderful that I no longer have a box of plastic bags in my garage, which is almost reason alone to buy some!
