The High Five are the five most-read stories, updated hourly.
I was a letter carrier for 2½ years; I quit in 1983, and to indicate that this is not "sour grapes," I am about to retire from a major utility company.
Our street has not had its own letter carrier for years; we have someone new all the time. And this has led to much misdelivered mail. This Christmas I ordered four items from overstocked.com; only two arrived. I checked with the company and all four items were sent within a day of each other. They were delivered to the wrong house; someone else got them and kept them. This is not the first time I lost valuable parcels to error.
Our incompetent postmaster has carriers working a mandatory six days a week, with overtime, and a seventh day if needed -- voluntary with pressure! There have been days our street didn't get any mail. I'm tired of getting late notices, never having received the first bill. One day all my mail was put in my neighbor's box and all their mail in mine.
Am I alone, or are there other fed-up postal customers in town?
