Re, “Muni remains open, but what will future hold?” (Oct. 6, modbee.com): Why close Muni? Muni golf course is paid for, irrigation comes from a well (not city water). Course maintenance workers come up the back way from Dryden to work the greens. The people who work in the Pro Shop are employed by Del Rio, not the city. But Muni is a “big” expense and needs to shut down. Thus less money coming out of the city budget and more money for the Police Department.
Why not close Dryden or Creekside? Can’t close Dryden; if you do, it goes back to the Dryden Family. Close Creekside? Can’t the city owes too many millions of dollars. Solution? Close Muni.
