Please if you are going to put a costume on your dog, make sure it is safe. Your dog should be able to walk normally in it; not just sit in the costume. A dog can not pull up its legs to walk like a child. Off-the-shoulders costumes can cause the dog to trip; costumes that are long in the front can cause the dog to get the back foot inside the costume.
Headware should be comfortable and not a hindrance to walking, seeing, hearing or turning the head. Watch out for light-up clothes for the brightness in the eyes, heat from the bulbs and weight of the batteries. Remember, your dog depends on you to keep him or her safe.
