One of ISIS’ goals is ethnic cleansing, which involves ridding their “country” of unbelievers. Their method is the killing of men, women and children. Their second goal is worldwide domination. In 1933 a man named Adolf Hitler was appointed chancellor in Germany. He, too, was a firm believer in ethnic cleansing and worldwide domination. The world ignored this threat until it became unavoidable. As a result, from 50 to 70 million people died during Hitler’s reign of terror. The number of those who died represented more than 2.5 percent of the world’s population.
Today, the United States and the world face a similar threat from ISIS, who promised to fly their flag over the White House. Other than token bombing, we have no plan to eliminate the threat. The U.S. and our allies are permitting history to repeat itself. We can stop ISIS now or we can wait until they threaten the entire world. By that time, history shows us the cost will be the loss of tens of millions of lives. We made a terrible mistake underestimating Hitler. Now are making the exact same mistake with ISIS.

Biblical prophecy coming true
Re “Rise of a savvy terrorist army” (Page A11, Aug. 6): The article by Robert H. Scales and Douglas Ollivant should be a call to every stout-hearted citizen, even the most ill-informed in our society. It was a clear description of what we are facing presently and in the days to come. To those who just want to forget about the rest of the world and get back to doing our own stuff, you will not live long enough to see the end of this conflict. It has been forming in the womb of fanatical religious intolerance (especially toward the Judeo-Christian fellowship) for a thousand years and is now giving birth to its jihadist holy war child.
Those of us who grew up in “the faith” have heard the prophecy since we were children, of the day when these events would take place. I never thought I would live to see them come to pass. But we are there. We are at the point, as a country and society, to being forced to choose between good and evil. We are going to be forced out of our political correctness into making a clear irrevocable choice of where we stand and what we will stand for in the future. I fear there are many among us who are so ignorant of history and biblical knowledge that they would be willing to accept the radical Islamist ideology if it meant continuing to have the government act as a “godfather” to care for them. Shariah law would be foreign but acceptable to them until it came into their lives with a vengeance. God help us all that we wake up before it is too late.

A plan of attack
Come on, Mr. Obama, it’s time to issue a new Rule of Engagement toward ISIS: in four words, Search, Find, Destroy, Repeat.
