What is the real purpose of Congress? They are supposed to make laws to promote and maintain our country, as mandated by the U.S. Constitution. That sounds reasonable. This past year, our Congress has been in session 133 days. Most working people work a minimum of 240 days. Our representatives make $174,000 a year. That works out to about $163.50 an hour based on 133 days. That’s great pay, if you can get it.
Maybe they’re really efficient. According to most news accounts, this Congress has passed the fewest bills ever. That explains the low approval ratings. It’s obvious we’re not getting our money’s worth. What are we to do with these deadbeats? Congress has decided to sue the president. That’s an interesting concept. They are going to waste taxpayers’ money on a fool’s errand.
I say it’s time we sue Congress for not doing what they are mandated to do by the Constitution. Let’s get rid of these clowns now. If all they want is a permanent vacation, let’s give it to them. Carpe diem.
