Leslie Shaw Klinger: Christians being hunted in Iraq

Today, I read the following on the BBC website: Patriarch Louis Sako, head of the Chaldean Catholic Church, told the AFP news agency: “Christian families are on their way to Dohuk and Irbil. For the first time in the history of Iraq, Mosul is now empty of Christians.”

The patriarch also said militants were tagging Christian houses with the letter “N” to mark them as Christian.

It breaks my heart. It breaks my heart as an American, a woman and a Catholic. A holocaust is happening around the world. Christians are being hunted down, killed and forced from our homes. When will the world take notice? Or have they noticed and just don’t care?
