Connie Gray: Torture helps protect our own

Regarding “CIA torture was wider than previously told” (Page A5, April 2): There are documents that proved the CIA tortured terror suspects to gain information. The techniques were brutal. Well, that’s the kind of people we’re dealing with. Sometimes you need to be brutal in order to protect your own.

When four Americans were brutally murdered in Benghazi, Hillary Clinton’s response was “what does it matter?”

We need to get to the bottom of who ordered the “stand-down” in Benghazi and left two Navy SEALs, an information management officer and an ambassador to stand on their own against a mob.

And, as far as the CIA torturing terror suspects, what does it matter?
