Let’s remember politicians work for the general public, we the people . If you don’t like what they decide for the county, city or our country, then don’t vote for them next time.
The inclusion of Wood Colony in Modesto’s general plan or the location for our new courthouse are prime examples. I believe there were two members on our City Council who listened to the general public. One of those was Bill Zoslocki, who ran for mayor but was defeated by Garrad Marsh. Remember them the next time you vote!
It seems to me that when you have a Modesto address, whether you live in the city or in the county, you should be able to vote in elections that affect you. Let city and county residents look out for each other. Don’t let some narcissistic person make decisions for your future without the people’s approval.
