Shopping center a bad idea

It appears that the Modesto City Council today will rubber stamp the Berberian shopping center at Oakdale and Floyd roads. The size of the center has exploded from the master plan promised by Wendell Naraghi, the original developer, to future homeowners. Hashem Drive, which divides the purposed shopping center and neighborhood, curls through the area with numerous blind curves and carries more traffic than it was planned to carry; it will become a dangerous raceway. Neighbors are already putting their houses up for sale, more will follow as Naraghi Lakes ceases to be a nice place to live. Yes, my neighbors and I are NIMBYs because the center is a bad idea in our backyard.
