Once again we at Soroptimist International of Modesto and Modesto North along with our partners, Sunny 102 Radio and Vintage Faire Mall, would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all those who participated in the Soroptimist Community Christmas Tree.

In our 28th year, we were able to supply clothes and toys to thousands of local children from birth to 17. For many of our children, these were the only gifts they received at Christmas. Thank you to all who chose a name from the tree and to those who gave donations that made it possible to provide gifts for the children whose names were not selected or whose gifts were not returned.

We especially want to thank the several hundred volunteers who worked to staff the tree and wrap room, as well as those participating agencies and schools who make this project happen.

Due to the efforts of individuals, organizations and merchants in our community, all the children were given a little Christmas magic.

The Soroptimist Community Christmas Tree is truly a “community event,” combining businesses, organizations, schools and individuals.
