As the president of Stanislaus County Farm Bureau, I am proud to say that our Farm Bureau board unanimously voted to endorse Jake Wenger for MID Division 4, Ron Macedo for TID District 5 and Joe Alamo for TID District 3 board positions.

The irrigation districts are large, complex entities that take a substantial amount of time, effort and competence to manage. The districts are under increasingly contrary demands from their ratepayers, environmental groups, and state and federal regulators. It is imperative that the people elected to serve on these boards are balanced and reasonable in their decisions.

I have known Wenger, Macedo and Alamo for many years and respect each of them for their strong leadership skills, passion for their community and their ability to make well-thought-out decisions. I believe that they will work hard to continue to manage and enhance the great gift that our forefathers gave us in water and electricity.

Above all, I believe Wenger, Macedo and Alamo will be fair in their decisions and represent all of the ratepayers within their communities.
