Veteran claims are victim of shutdown

I sent the following email to Rep. Jeff Denham: On your website you have a wonderful piece about supporting our veterans. There are likely to be 20,000 claims processors furloughed because of the shutdown.

I sent the following email to Rep. Jeff Denham: On your website you have a wonderful piece about supporting our veterans. Currently there is a tremendous backlog in processing VA claims.

There are likely to be 20,000 claims processors furloughed because of the shutdown. How does this jibe with your with your empathy for our wounded warriors and your refusal recognize the legitimacy of the Affordable Care Act and by doing so, keep veterans from getting the care they deserve? This is only one of several federal programs that are affected.

The government is being hijacked by a small group of tea party members that cannot be voted out because of gerrymandered districts. I propose that we actively work to remove those Republicans that do not reside in such districts, such as Denham. If we can’t dump the tea partiers, we can surely can get rid of those that support them. Make your voices heard!
