Thanks to the generous donations of local businesses, families and friends, including the Stanislaus Fly Fishers, 30 Northern California combat injured veterans will join Rivers of Recovery on the Lower Sacramento River for rehabilitative fly fishing trips from Sept. 9 to 28.

Funds for these trips were raised in conjunction with the Fly Fishing film tour shown each spring at the State Theatre. Rivers of Recovery is a national nonprofit organization providing physically and psychologically injured combat veterans with outdoor-based therapies, an expert-designed curriculum and a proven record of positive sustainable outcomes. Our sincere thanks to those whose donations made these trips possible and especially to those veterans who so bravely served our country!
