Stop marijuana raids

I am a Proposition 215 medial marijuana patient in California. My caregivers, the people who supply my medicine, were recently raided by the Modesto Police Department. The police confiscated all of their medicine, including a certain type of cannabis that really helps relieve my ailments.

Today, in 2013, we know marijuana is less harmful than many legal substances. Isn’t it time we as a city stopped wasting our tax dollars on this? I’m not the only one who needs this medicine to get through the day; there are countless others in need, and are without their medicine. This story needs to get out in the lives of the people of Modesto, this story needs to be humanized in a way that people understand what this medicine can do and its ability to give people relief when other things (pharmaceuticals) cannot.

We will no longer stand for this outright waste of tax dollars. Thank you for your time.
