Stanislaus GOP’s money no one else’s business

The late Spiro Agnew used the term, “nattering nabobs of negativism,” a definition he would have given to The Bee for giving front page attention to an attack on the Stanislaus Republican Party that is nothing more then yellow journalism at its worst.

The late Spiro Agnew used the term, “nattering nabobs of negativism,” a definition he would have given to The Bee for giving front page attention to an attack on the Stanislaus Republican Party that is nothing more then yellow journalism at its worst ( “Following GOP cash leads to questions,” Aug. 18).

Was it really necessary to point out that the local central committee invested thousands of dollars in Southern California political races? Then you added insult to injury by adding that they all lost, which was entirely uncalled for.

There are some things not everybody is interested in or needs to know, and exposing the fact that the Stanislaus County GOP spent millions on state races is nobody else’s business. Shame on you, Modesto Bee! You can expect my check to bounce when I renew my subscription.

And what the heck does the picture of the late Captain Kangaroo have to do with the story?
