Side roads need resurfacing, too

I applaud all of the resurfacing and repairs to the city's streets, a vast improvement over just a few short years ago. And it is understood that in general priority must be given to the most traveled roads.

But please don't forget about some of the well-used side roads in other areas that are still in need of attention.

In particular I would like to point out Kansas Avenue — not the entire road, but specifically between Emerald Avenue and Reno Avenue, which is littered with potholes and patches too numerous to count. Most of this stretch is beyond any lasting repair and in urgent need of stripping and repaving to a depth that will last.

Please consider this request on behalf of all who use it regularly and have either had their front ends thrown out of alignment, busted a shock or had their teeth chatter so hard they thought they'd crack.
