Regarding "Survival of the most religious" (April 8, Letters): Liberals, particularly overinformed ones, are rife with contradictions. On one hand, he wants to treasure the life of a child; but on the other hand, he can only treasure that life as long as that life is not an emotional or financial nuisance to the mother.
The difference is, where abortion is legal, a liberal will defend the one who believes herself to be a victim and helpless instead of defending the truly helpless victim.
The rest of the letter is an object lesson in logical fallacies. How many assumptions about conservative Christians does he allow himself before actually speaking to one? How many biblical illusions does he allow himself before picking a Bible up and actually reading it?
As for gun control, legalizing certain drugs and euthanasia, I could make a moral or biblical argument, but why bother? It seems that the liberal war he rages is not against morals or even the Bible. It's against Christians. Happy hunting.
