Another tragedy caused by a person who had no problem acquiring an assault rifle and a huge supply of ammunition.
One wonders how long it would have taken Congress to enact gun control laws if the four Puerto Ricans who shot up the House floor on March 1, 1954 (wounding five representatives), had been armed with AK-47s instead of small-caliber pistols.
Owning pistols and hunting rifles I can understand, but assault rifles are designed only to kill people.
I agree that people are the killers, but assault rifles sure make it easier to do it en masse.
