he National Rifle Association is now happy that another law abiding citizen has executed his right to bear any arm that he chooses and show that he is man enough to use it! Now, I do not really believe that that is their intent, but their stubborn refusal to accept any form of control of guns is indicative of that attitude.
To the argument that guns don't kill people; people kill people, you could say cars don't kill people; drivers kill people. But we have sensible regulations for car use. And, according to that argument, there should be no rules governing anything because someone is going to find out a way to do anything anyway. But who wants to live in a lawless society?
Let's be sensible and enact reasonable rules for owning weapons and their use.
