We ask you to join us in voting for Measure O. Like you, we are not happy about higher taxes. However when faced with the problems in the city it seems that we really have no other option. The Constitution guarantees us, as citizens, the Constitution the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. What we are not guaranteed is the payment of those rights. That leaves it to us to seek ways to maintain the level of services we have become accustomed to.

We want to keep public safety, clean streets, lights, services to seniors and recreation for our youth ongoing. It will take approximately $20 yearly from each of us to shoulder this additional burden. Please look around and see if you are happy with what the future holds for our wonderful city. Increased gang problems, graffiti, street flooding, dark streets, unkempt parks, and no public facilities for seniors. Sound bleak? Well it is.

Help us get through these tough times. Three years is not an eternity. If you have questions please call one of us.We can use your help with spreading the word and encouraging your neighbors, friends and family to vote for Measure O for Oakdale.
