I am deeply disappointed and disturbed by your Sept. 26 editorial on Proposition 19 ("Just say no to legalizing pot," Page A-14). Your main complaint seems to be that it is "a deeply flawed measure."
Few, if any, laws are perfectly crafted – that's why the U.S. Constitution is open to amendment. What you fail to recognize is that we suffer uncontrolled trafficking in marijuana and no law, no police presence, will ever abate that dilemma. We must control and profit from what we cannot prevent.
Marijuana is here to stay. Learn to live with it. Tilting at windmills is good sport but totally unproductive.
