From the emotional responses against any possible questioning of evolution, it appears that people don't want their "belief system" of evolution rattled. Let's not examine all the evidence. Let's not teach our children to reason. Let's not give them a chance to choose for themselves whether the world and all its inhabitants happened by accident or by design.
Nowhere did I read that Mark Ferrante planned to lead Bible study in class. He was simply trying to get the kids to think by offering them more data. It's a sad day in America when we fear that our kids might come to question evolution or to even believe in a higher power. I'd rather see that than teen drug abuse or other destructiveness.
