I want to respond to "A poke in the third eye with a sharp stick" (May 7, Letters): I feel sorry for Albert Hoffman, knowing that every man will give an account for what he has done in his body.
In God's word we are told that sorcery (drug use) is forbidden (Deuteronomy 18:10-12). Hoffman will have to stand before the Lord knowing he led many astray by the use of the drug he made.
I agree that LSD does open your mind. But to what? Just as Adam and Eve were led astray by wanting to have their eyes opened, so will others who choose to partake in such practices.
God's word is very clear.
