The letter "Area's fourth all-weather field" (April 30) brought up an excellent point: Patterson High School's Community Stadium Project is a perfect example of amazing volunteers motivating their city government, school district and citizens to invest in their community. Ripon can thank Rob Kozart, Patterson's project champion, for giving Ripon's Stouffer Field Project focus and clarity. I had the privilege of meeting with Kozart to glean from Patterson's success. Though it was unfortunate that the writer of The Bee's article ("Ripon High's track, field could get all-weather redo," April 17, Page B-2), inadvertently left Patterson off the list, I am grateful for the opportunity to thank Rob Kozart and his team of volunteers for trailblazing a model of how a true community project can be successful. My hope is that Ripon will duplicate Patterson's unity.
