A Supreme Court that can stop an election and appoint a president is prepared to do almost anything. Recently, the court upheld an Indiana law that requires a picture ID in order to vote. This will disadvantage minorities and the elderly (who tend to vote Democratic). The ostensible purpose was to prevent fraud. But no instances of fraud were presented. Many years ago, Democrats in the South pulled a similar trick in order to suppress the black vote. It seems that a sense of decency is no deterrent to our politicians, even those on the Supreme Court.
