I want to thank the writer of "Would a kind word have helped?" (April 1, Letters) for her kind words about Alan Andrews, my nephew. He was a kind and gentle man who took the wrong path in life. He never had a enemy in his life that
I knew of, or ever hurt anyone. He loved Starbucks coffee, and every time he had money he would go there. I live only a few blocks from where his body was found, but he never asked for anything. When I would see him he was always happy, and I would give him a few dollars; but he never asked for anything. Thanks to everyone who was kind to him.
