I am writing on behalf of my fellow mental health consumers, as well as those without mental health services who are homeless, to advocate for universal health care. There needs to be a focused campaign for universal health care for the mentally ill. Where there is a will there is always a way, and this campaign will give a hope and a future for American citizens who fall short from the quality of life they so richly deserve. Many of us are able to work, but don't qualify for private insurance. We are all created equal with certain inalienable rights; why don't these rights include mental health insurance?
