Hey, Caltrans, stop! How many stop signs need to get knocked down at the intersection of Atlas Road and Highway 108 in Oakdale before someone in the accounting department notices it?
I called and spoke to the head of the department who handles this intersection and told them about the dangers of where the sign was being placed. That was about nine signs ago. I see the sign was knocked down again. Anybody who lives in the area knows that there is a highway at the end of Atlas, and just in case, there is already a stop sign just to the right, on the greenbelt, which is safely out of the way of cars. Why do we need two signs? Someone is not paying attention at Caltrans. They should remove the sign from the middle of the road, or the worst possible scenario will happen -- someone is going to kill themselves driving into it.
