In "Women who've had abortions suffer afterward" (Feb. 29, Page B-7), Michelle Malkin got to the heart of the matter without being inflammatory or overly sentimental. I have told abortion-minded women that this decision not only takes the life of a child but can cause grief and emotional problems for the woman. Although not all women have such an extreme reaction, many women suffer what psychiatrists call post-abortion syndrome.
Women have been led down this rosy path of choice believing they could have this little surgery and just go on about their lives. Women who contemplate abortion, the women who encourage them to rid themselves of the problem, and the abortionists who line their pockets with the blood money, desperately need to hear that it is wrong.
