How many times do we have to vote down measures on growth and taxes? We have made our voices known. The people who are supposed to be our representatives don't get it!
When we vote no more growth, no more growth! And when we say no sales tax increase, no sales tax increase! The media doesn't get it, either. Here you are again, asking us to give the Stanislaus Council of Governments the benefit of the doubt because all the cities are signed on to the plan this time.
So here we go again -- Measure K with a different twist. You'll pound us with editorials on how overused and in disrepair the roads are. You'll even try to guilt us into believing that it's our fault the roads are this way because we don't want to pay up.
You'll take another vote, and it will go down in defeat, but you'll just continue until enough people are duped into believing that this is the best solution for the problem. More money! More money! More money!
Here's an idea! If those we've elected will not follow how we've directed them to by our votes, we should revote and find someone who will!
