In response to "Tougher dog rules go to city committee" (Jan. 7, Page B-1): How about cats? I am relating a sad situation concerning a beautiful small cat abandoned when the owners moved. I feed the kitty each day and have a cardboard box with rugs in it. Where the poor thing goes, especially during the recent storm, I have no idea.
I cannot adopt the kitty and let it no closer than my front porch because I have a big dog that won't tolerate it. The owners of the kitty should be held responsible, made accountable, be fined or made to find a permanent loving home for this darling, sweet cat. It is a heartbreaking situation.
