I read with great anticipation the article regarding multiple sclerosis and medical breakthroughs for those of us living with MS ("MS research: Persistence pays," Dec. 25, Page A-1). I saw this as an opportunity to bring awareness to our community about local happenings for people living with MS. We have support groups that meet in Turlock the fourth Saturday, in Modesto the third Saturday and in Oakdale the last Wednesday evening of every month. A yoga class that is modified for MS is held every Tuesday at the Yoga Health Institute. The class is taught by Richard Parenti and has proven to be a great benefit for many. More information on these support programs is available by calling 988-7105.
Thank you for the opportunity to share about the many activities going on locally for people living with multiple sclerosis.
