I agree with "We're slowly losing our freedom of speech" (Nov. 1, Letters). We're so concerned with making outsiders feel accepted and happy that we have almost completely forgotten where we stand. This is extremely apparent in how we treat Christians -- the ones who founded this nation under God. On one hand we shout "freedom of speech," but the next we're slamming those who mention God's truth. When Christians talk about homosexuality, they're frowned upon -- maybe even charged with a hate crime -- but when gays talk about Christians it's funny and accepted as true.
Christians can't pray in school because it's illegal and "inappropriate," but if you're a Muslim, you can have special prayer time set aside by the school itself. (Amazing for a country who was founded on the gospel of Jesus Christ, huh? It's true, look it up.)
It's time for this country to start standing for something before it starts falling for anything. If we don't turn away from the elemental lies in which we live, we're in for a rude awakening. We will go down if we don't look up!
