I was driving north on Ninth Street recently and was cut off by a Modesto police car that changed lanes in front of me. The officer then proceeded to drift to the left turn lane, again without a signal. We were stopped at the light, next to each other, so I motioned for him to lower his window and asked him to use his turn signals in the future. If you have guessed that he was talking on his cell phone, you are correct.
Other drivers might learn from a good example -- if we were to have one some time. Here's hoping.
