In the letter "Rush is a manure-slinging expert" (Oct. 23), the writer states, "he got himself classified 4-F due to a bump on his butt." The words "he got himself classified" sounds as if Rush did something illegal to be classified 4-F.
He also stated, "(Rush) even looks like Hermann Goering." Is the writer implying that anyone who looks like a bad person is a bad person?
He also refers to "various hypocritical religious right-wing nuts" and calls an anorexic 45-year-old spinster "mean- spirited."
In my opinion, calling people "anorexic," "hypocritical" and "nuts" could also be classified as being "mean-spirited."
I challenge this writer, and others, to say, "I accept Jesus Christ as my personal savior." Perhaps after doing this, the writer might also get classified as a "hypocritical religious right-wing nut."
