It is bad enough that it is hard to find a job because no one is hiring, but to be discriminated against because I can't speak Spanish? What a ridiculous requirement for any company to tell prospective employees!
Last I heard companies feel that it is a plus if a person they hire is bilingual. Now they are telling people that they shouldn't even apply if they aren't bilingual in Spanish-English?
What happened to requiring employees to be able to speak English since we are in an English-speaking country? I am being told that though my qualifications are good, I am still at a loss because I don't speak another country's language. I have spoken to a lot of people and they feel the same way that I do.
