Al Gore's big mansion with a guesthouse in Nashville is not so green friendly. The only green it has seen is the money it eats up every month. Public power and gas bills show that the Gores' house uses much more overall carbon-based fuel than the average American. How can Mr. Gore call on Americans to conserve energy by reducing electricity consumption when he is not doing what he is preaching? If he is going to talk the talk, then he needs to walk the walk.
He is doing some good trying to get Americans more Earth friendly, but does he really deserve the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize? Just because he's blowing a horn and telling everyone about the global warming causes and effects doesn't constitute a prize. The fact that he is a former vice president is the only reason he is getting so much recognition. I am sure there are hundreds of other people who live green, buy green and do their part in saving us from global warming. They are not getting prizes or any recognition.
I wonder if the United Nation's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, sharing the Nobel Peace Prize with Gore, are doing their part in preventing global warming?
