So, troops from the California National Guard have been called up to help with the Southern California fires. I wonder how many of the people they are helping realized that some of these brave men were serving in Iraq two years ago? I wonder how many of these people, whom the soldiers are now protecting, have voiced "anti-war/anti-military" opinions? I wonder, do these people even realize that these soldiers dropped everything at a moment's notice, left their families and jobs or school to help them? I wonder, are they thankful? Do they even care?
No matter what your opinion of them is, these soldiers -- brave and dear -- will protect you. God bless them.
